Dr. Sridevi Nakka serves as Senior Principal Scientist at Tritica Biosciences, where she advances molecular biology and biochemistry research initiatives. She brings extensive expertise in plant genetics, protein expression, and agricultural applications to drive the company's scientific innovations.
Her research career encompasses both academic and industry achievements. As a Research Scientist at Heartland Plant Innovations, she led the "Enhanced Flavor and Nutrition" project funded by Ardent Mills, characterizing transgenic wheat for improved flavor and nutritional properties. She also conducted significant research on sorghum, identifying haploid-inducing pollinators for agricultural applications. Her doctoral research at Kansas State University focused on understanding the physiological, molecular, and biochemical mechanisms of herbicide resistance in weeds.
Dr. Nakka holds a PhD in Agronomy from Kansas State University, complemented by extensive laboratory, greenhouse, and field research experience.
